The Ambedkar Mahasabha will donate a silver brick to the Ram Mandir Trust, which can be used for the construction of the temple at Ayodhya.

The five-member delegation of the Ambedkar Mahasabha Trust, headed by chairman of Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation Dr Lalji Prasad Nirmal, will meet the office-bearers of the Ram Mandir Trust in Ayodhya on February 14 and present them a silver brick on behalf of the Dalit community.

Dr Nirmal has informed that like every other section of the society, Dalits and other marginalised sections are excited over the construction of the temple.

He said the Dalit community expresses its gratitude towards the judiciary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for paving the way for the temple construction.

It may be mentioned that a few months back Yogi Adityanath was conferred the title of ‘Dalit Mitra’ by the Ambedkar Mahasabha.

Nirmal had conferred the title upon Adityanath at a function here to pay tribute to Dalit icon B R Ambedkar on his 127th birth anniversary.

Mahasabha president Dr Lalji Prasad Nirmal is the chairman of Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Caste Finance Corporation.
