Dr Ralf Heckner, the Ambassador of Switzerland to India, called on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday and praised him for making UP an investment-friendly state.
Heckner congratulated the UP CM on tremendous efforts in transforming its vision to become the most developed, investment-friendly front-runner state in India into reality.
He heaped praises on the Uttar Pradesh government and its Chief Minister on Tuesday for developing a conducive environment for investment. The words of praise coming from Switzerland Ambassador mean a lot.
During the meeting, the discussions ranged from bilateral issues and various aspects for the development of the state and to strengthen the ties between Switzerland and UP.
The Swiss ambassador also complimented the Chief Minister for excellent Covid management, which was applauded globally by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
He also appreciated India’s gesture of sending vaccines abroad and extended his full cooperation to the development of Noida Greenfield International Airport at Jewar and informed the CM about the growing interest of Swiss tourists to visit UP to discover its rich culture and heritage.
Yogi told Heckner about how UP is home to some of the holiest cities such as Varanasi, Ayodhya, Mathura and Prayagraj, and invited him as his guest, besides welcoming Swiss investment in the state.
The CM further talked about PM Narendra Modi’s vision of making India self-reliant and how it is helping the local industry.
Heckner and Yogi agreed to elaborate further on the areas of mutual interest with a view to helping deliver on the exciting potential of their businesses.
