Nation pays homage to Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 64th Mahaparinirvan Diwas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar on his death anniversary and said his thoughts and ideals continue to give strength to millions.

The nation pays homage to Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar on his 64th Mahaparinirvan Diwas today. Several programmes are being organised all over the country to highlight the contribution of Dr Ambedkar in the nation rebuilding. Eminent dignitaries and Parliamentarians will pay tributes to the architect of the Constitution at his statue in the Parliament House complex in New Delhi.
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas. In a tweet, Shri Modi said, Babasaheb’s thoughts and ideals continue to give strength to millions. The Prime Minister said, we are committed to fulfilling the dreams he had for the nation.

“Remembering the great Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvan Diwas. His thoughts and ideals continue to give strength to millions. We are committed to fulfilling the dreams he had for our nation,” PM Narendra Modi tweeted.
 
Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tributes to Ambedkar on his death anniversary and said following the Dalit icon’s footsteps, the Modi government is “working with dedication for the welfare of the section that remained deprived for decades”.
 
“Following the footsteps of Babasaheb, Modi government is working with dedication for the welfare of the section that remained deprived for decades,” Amit Shah tweeted.
 
The Father of the Indian Constitution Dr Ambedkar was an eminent jurist, economist, statesman and a social reformer who campaigned against social discrimination of downtrodden, women and labourers. Babasaheb was conferred the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1990.
