Yogi Adityanath vows to bring law against Love Jihad in Uttar Pradesh

Sending out a strong message to radical elements, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government is working to bring a strict law to curb incidents of ‘love jihad’.
Referring to the order of the Allahabad high court which said religious conversion is not necessary for marriage, the Chief Minister said, “I warn those who conceal identity and play with the respect of our sisters. If you don’t mend your ways, your ‘Ram Naam Satya’ journey will begin.”
While addressing a gathering in support of BJP candidate from Malhani seat for assembly byelection on Saturday, Yogi said his government is planning to take a decision in view of the court’s order. “We will work to strictly stop love jihad by formulating a stringent law”, he said.
The Chief Minister also highlighted on the recently launched Operation Shakti for women security in the state and said that his government is committed to protect the honour of women at any cost.
