These people are China’s first line of defence. They enjoy all the rights of an Indian citizen, but their acts are always anti-India. This Chinese first line of defence must be crushed in our country.

Nepal’s PM KP Sharma Oli’s bizarre statement that “real” Ayodhya is in Nepal and India made a fake Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh reveals the extent to which Nepal has gone in becoming a satellite state of China. But even more revealing is the statement issued by the Nepalese Foreign Ministry. It says: “..there have been several myths and references about Shri Ram and the places associated with him..” Oli was “highlighting the importance of further studies and research…”
The Nepalese Government is simply taking a leaf out of Indian Communists booklet. This idea of ‘real Ayodhya is not in UP was given currency by pro-Babri Masjid group in the 90s during the Ram Janmbhoomi Movement. They proposed at least seven different places as Shri Ram’s birthplace, from Nepal to Egypt!
It has been our history that whenever some external enemy tries to undermine India’s cultural greatness or its territorial integrity, the arms and ammunition are provided to him by our people only. They are their ‘B Team’.
When the clash between Indian and Chinese Army has been the major news in the Indian media, but on June 16, 2020, when the news of the clash made national headlines there was another piece of news which largely went unnoticed. It was CPI (M) protesting against “Modi govt’s (sic) anti-people policies”. Few senior leaders of CPI (M) like Sitaram Yechury, Brinda Karat, Prakash Karat, etc. were holding placards outside the office of CPI (M) in Delhi. The whole affair looked odd; the issue of the protest was too vague and generic (anti-people policies of the Government) one of the placards read “Bolsonaro Go Back”. It was a six-month-old placard which was used in January this year to protest Brazilian President Jair Messias Bolsonaro’s visit to India. This didn’t go unnoticed. It looked like that the protest was organised in haste with whatever issue they could think of and the months-old placards and other material they already had. Whatever the reason was but it surely gave an impression that it was organised just to get some news space so that the news of the clash on the border can be subsided. Later, on June 19 in the all-party meeting, CPI’s D Raja said, as per the reports, “we need to resist US efforts to drag us into their alliance” and CPI (M)’s Sitaram Yechuri stressed on the principles of Panchsheel. In its official statement, also CPI (M) avoided blaming China for the border clash.
Compared to the track record of Communists, this was but a mild reaction. Left dominated media has always tried to downplay the fact that during the 1962 Indo-China War, Communists openly sided with China; at the very least Communist leaders avoided calling China the ‘aggressor’. This created a rift within the Communist Party. Due to social media, this has become a well-known fact now. Many hidden skeletons are tumbling out of the Communist closet slowly. The hatred for Indian Army was so strong in Communist cadre that when Communist leader VS Achuthanandan, who later became Chief Minister of Kerela, proposed to organise a camp to donate blood to the wounded Indian soldiers he had to face severe criticism from the party, and it even leads to a scuffle with another Party member OJ Joseph. Achuthanandan’s proposal was enough to get him demoted from central committee to branch level. Prominent Communist leaders like EMS Namboodiripaad too avoided blaming China.
China’s B Team
What’s remarkable is that the above mentioned was not the most radical section of Communists. The more puritanical section represented by Charu Majumdar and his followers was much more anti-national than these. This section soon became the infamous ‘Naxalites’. Naxalites were unflinching in their devotion towards China. Charu Majumdar is known as the father of Naxalism and his writings like ‘Eight Historical Statements’ formed the bedrock of the Naxal Movement. Throughout his writings his devotion towards Communist China and Mao Tse-Tung is visible, the whole Naxal movement was about replicating Communist’ revolution’ of China in India; Mao was supposed to be their ‘Chairman’. In Charu’s words: “the days of the reactionary forces are numbered, the bright sun rays of Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tsetung thought shall wipe off all darkness”. These Masala painted the walls of Calcutta with the slogans of ‘China’s chairman is our chairman’.
While PM Nehru was doing everything in his power to help Communist China, China was assisting anti-India forces. Naga rebel leader Isak Chishi Swu has written in his six-page autobiography that he went to China and Chou En Lai assured him that “when the right time comes, China would be the first country to recognise our [Naga] state”. This was the same Chou En Lai whom Nehru welcomed with the slogans of ‘Hindi-Cheeni Bhai Bhai’
For any patriot worth his salt this Communist policy of being sympathetic towards the enemy nation or even being silent instead of criticising the country that has attacked one’s motherland is unadulterated treason; for Communists, this was their devotion to their ideology. But for Charu and his followers, even this was not enough. When the Communist Party tried to deny the accusations that it takes orders from USSR, Charu criticised them. Charu wrote: “We, communists, believe in a single scientific doctrine, known as Marxism-Leninism, the thought of Mao Tse-tung. If we acknowledge the truth of science, we must necessarily acknowledge the authority of those who have developed it… The Thought of Mao Tse-tung is today the highest form of Marxism-Leninism and those who are opposing this international Marxist authority are doomed to take refuge in the fold of imperialism”. So, anything less than avowed submission to China and actively assisting China against India was considered a sin by these people.
Charu’s followers were also true to type. Kanu Sanyal is one of the pioneers of the Naxal Movement; he tells in his authorised biography ‘Pehla Naxal’ (Sage Publications) that he and his comrades created ruckus in the session of CPI (M) in 1964 because the picture of Mao Tse Tung was not displayed there. Their China-worship was not limited to simply writing pamphlets and slogans. In 1967, Kanu, along with his comrades, went to China to seek the blessings from Mao. On the directions of Mao and Chou En Lai, these people were given arms training by the Communist Government of China; they were also given money before returning to India. The task that China gave these unpaid mercenaries was to make secret passages in India along the Indo-China border so that the Chinese Army can easily enter!
There has always been this ‘B Team’ of China on Indian soil. It uses our resources and land but works to further China’s expansionist cause.

The Glorification of China’s Agents
In any other nation, such traitors would have been at least behind bars, but in India, they are glorified and presented as some heroes. The 1998 movie ‘Hazar Chaurasi ki Maa’ is based on Naxal Movement only. No doubt a very well made and engrossing film based on the award-winning novel of Mahashweta Devi. But, the Naxals who left no stone unturned to betray this country are depicted as some heroic youth in this movie. Male and female protagonists and their friends are Naxalites who believe in violent rebellion, and the Indian state and police are shown as oppressors. The fact that Naxals treated China as their ‘fatherland’, gave the slogans like ‘China’s chairman is our chairman’ hardly affects the heroic image that the movie is trying to portray of the Naxals. In any other country, such a movie wouldn’t have passed censor board; even action would have been taken against the makers; in India, it was given National Film Award for Best Feature Film!
A few years ago another movie ‘Mataru ki Bijli ka Mandola’ showed that male protagonist is helping the farmers under a pseudo name ‘Mao, Kisaano ka dost’ (Mao, a friend of farmers). The fact that Mao was the person under whose watch China attacked India and is still grabbing a large part of our Territory, or the fact that it was Mao due to whom Chinese farmers suffered unimaginable hardships that killed millions of farmers due to starvation didn’t make any difference to the makers of this movie. Clubbed with entertainment and comedy the ideology Naxalism is served to Indian youth. It’s due to such constant glorification that this B Team of China is thriving in India and masses are still unaware of their treasonous nature.
Instead of shrewd realpolitik, our foreign policy was guided by idealism. This has cost us our land and made China so powerful today. On the domestic front, creating and nurturing China’s B Team has been our own fault. Even today anti-national sentiments are propagated through many prominent Universities and media, literature and entertainment industry. These people are China’s first line of defence. They enjoy all the rights of an Indian citizen, but their acts are always anti-India. This Chinese first line of defence must be crushed in our country.
Not just in media and movies, these people even get the indirect state patronage which is the cause of their proliferation. Naxals like Kanu Sanyal could come out of the prison because of the Communist State Government of West Bengal. Kanu even claims that he was offered to join the party which he denied. On national level politics, it is not a hidden fact that Prime Minister Nehru was always positively inclined towards Communist China. He didn’t act when China attacked and colonised Tibet completely neglecting the fact that China had covetous eyes on Indian Territory too. When UNO did not give communist China recognition, it was India that ferociously advocated China’s case in the UN. It is even said that on two different instances USSR and USA offered the seat in UNSC to India, but Nehru denied saying ‘the great country China must be given this opportunity’. While PM Nehru was doing everything in his power to help Communist China, China was assisting anti-India forces to. With our own hands, we have nourished these anti-national forces in India. Even the above-mentioned OJ Joseph, who had a scuffle with Achuthanandan because Achuthanandan proposed to donate blood to soldiers, later became a Rajya Sabha MP. Such examples are everywhere, from politics to media, to Universities. With such people at the helm of affairs in India, how could we expect that the policies would be pro-India?
Need to correct the mistakes of past
The situation we are facing at the border is not a recent development, but it’s a culmination of wrong policies our lawmakers followed over decades. Instead of shrewd realpolitik, our foreign policy was guided by idealism. This has cost us our land and made China so powerful today. On the domestic front, creating and nurturing China’s B Team has been our own fault. Even today anti-national sentiments are propagated through many prominent Universities and media, literature and entertainment industry. These people are China’s first line of defence. They enjoy all the rights of an Indian citizen, but their acts are always anti-India. This Chinese first line of defence must be crushed in our country. These Made-in-China’ products’ must be discarded hook line and sinker, because more than China’s business, it’s this Chinese ideology that has been harming this nation.
Modi Government has corrected many wrongs of the past, like removing Article 370, or Surgical Strikes to destroy terror camps in Pakistan. Here also it has first to undo all these wrong policies that have been followed over the past decades. Surely it will take some time and careful decision making to root out this whole pro-China ecosystem. It would be much better if people stop back-seat driving and let the Government act in the way it thinks is the best.
