Guwahati: Patriotic People’s Front Assam (PPFA) has extended it’s full support to Sonam Wangchuk for his social message to everyone in India to boycott all Chinese products. The forum of nationalists also appreciates the engineer turned social scientist to raise the issue on the backdrop of ongoing Indo-China aggression in Ladakh.

In a social media appeal, Wangchuk urged the Indian nationals to refuse everything made by China as a support to the country as a whole and the soldiers on the border fighting the Chinese security personnel. He pointed out that while the forces would respond to the Chinese army with bullets, the citizens should react with wallets (ready financial exercise).

With Himalayas as the background where river Sindhu is seen flowing in the video, the 53 years old innovator mentioned about the growing border tension between the two giant nations and argued that the time has come for the citizens not to be contented with army actions but to support the cause of motherland by boycotting every Chinese hardware and software.

“If the entire Indian population along with Indians leaving abroad, boycott everything made in China, it would have a visible negative impact on the Chinese economy and hopefully other countries would practice the same,” said Wangchuk in Hindi adding that it may not be the mobile phones, computers or other appliances, but Indians should avoid all Chinese software produces like Tiktok, Pubg, Beauty plus etc.

The Magsaysay awardee explained the reason behind China’s brewing tensions with India as well as Vietnam, Taiwan or Hong Kong people, that Beijing is scared of an uprising inside the country. He pointed out that the Chinese people were not happy with the government handling of novel corona virus outbreak and they might raise voices for political reforms.

Beijing believes that border disputes would help generating sympathy to the regime and patriotism among their one billion-plus citizens. So they engineered the latest disputes with India. Wangchuk claimed that ‘same thing happened in 1962 when China fought against India to mask the great famine that continued for 4 years’.

“We whole heartedly support Wangchuk’s Boycott Made In China campaign and would like to appeal everyone in the country to come forward extending gestures to the mission,” said a PPFA statement adding that Indians must not keep sitting to appreciate the soldiers alone, but adopt the practices to ruin the enemy and make the largest democracy a self-reliant nation in true senses.
