Riyaz Naikoo killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir
Terrorist Riyaz Naikoo was a special and top commander to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen’s kingpin Sayeed Salahudeen. Salahudeen has said that Naikoo’s sacrifice will help him in achieving his mission.
In a video message released by Hizbul, Salahudeen mourns at death of Riyaz Naikoo says” 80 terrorists have been killed in the valley since Jan this year, there has been an increase in India’s strength and has a more significant hand on Kashmir, the death of Riyaz Naikoo deeply pains me.”
Stung after Naiku’s encounter, Salahudeen warned India that the Kashmir issue is a spark that could set fire to cover the entire region. According to a message issued by the terrorist group, Salahudeen made this statement on the death of Riyaz Naikoo and his associate Adil Ahmed. After the death of terrorist Riyaz Naikoo, a senior police officer says that the annihilation of Riyaz Naikoo is a big blow to the terrorist organisation. This will create a weak situation in South Kashmir, where Hizbul has traditionally been active.
Riyaz Naikoo was one of the most senior members of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. Riyaz, listed as an A ++ category terrorist, had become the face of terror in Kashmir and had over 12 lakh bounties prize. Riyaz, who hails from Avantipura district, was most wanted in many cases, in the killing of security personnel and police officers. Riyaz was also in the photo with Burhan Wani, a terrorist killed in Anantnag. Riyaz became a well-known terrorist after the death of Burhan Wani, the terrorist’s poster boy and terrorist commander. Like Burhan, Naikoo, who had a good understanding of technology, used social media as a weapon to draw the youth towards terrorism.
