However, even before the event began, the Telangana police arrested MRM’s Telangana State Convener Mohammad Abdul Sattar and Co-Convenor Syed Faizuddin. National Convener of MRM Virag Pachpore who was to address the conference was also detained by the police.
The conference was to be held at the Lakshmanamana in Begumpet. MRM Honorary Advisers Shri Indresh Kumar and senior journalists Shri Virag Pachpore were invited to participate. But even before the event began, the police who arrived there arrested the leaders of MRM Telangana Chapter and also detained Pachpore at the venue.

The police said that there was no permission given for the conference. But the organizers said that since it was held at a private hall, no specific permission was required. The police however did not allow the program to go ahead and said that they have received information that someone from outside would try to disrupt the event and the arrest was a precautionary measure.
However, MRM says that the program was halted on instructions from someone who is part of the government as they did not want people to know the truth about the current affairs in the country. Shortly after the police denial, the guests were forced to leave the venue along with the conveners of MRM state chapter.
