Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s convoy was attacked by a group of CPM-DYFI goons in Kannur, Kerala today. Yediyurappa arrived in Kerala on Monday for visiting temples. He visited Guruvayoor temple yesterday.
DYFI goons, with the connivance of the Kerala state police, attacked the Karnataka Chief Minister’s vehicle when he visited Thiruvarkat Bhagavathi temple, Madayikkavu in Kannur.
According to reports, timely intervention of the driver helped save the life of the Karnataka Chief Minister.
Despite security threats, the Kerala police failed to take precautions and provide adequate security to the CM’s convoy. There are allegations that the police officers who were deputed in the area are close CPM leaders and the attack occurred with their connivance.
Following the incident, CPM workers in Karnataka are on high alert. The outrageous act of CPM hooligans in Kannur is said to have posed a threat to the business venture of Kerala Chief Minister Vijayan’s daughter, T Veena who runs a Bengaluru-based IT firm, Exalogic Solutions.
