the opening session of the special Sangh Shiksha Varga in Nagpur

Nagpur: “Sangh Shiksha Varg (SSV) is an opportunity to experience national integration that epitomises unity of the society,” said RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Shri V. Bhagaiah, while inaugurating the 25-day special Sangh Shiksha Varg for senior swayamsevaks. The Varga began at Dr Hedgewar Smriti Mandir, Reshim Bagh on November 18 and will continue till December 12.

Welcoming the participants drawn from across the length and breadth of the country, Shri Bhagaiah said that to be a part of this special camp is always a cherished dream of the swayamsevaks. He spoke on the essential values like ‘dhairya’ (patience), ‘kshama’ (forgiveness), ‘samyam’ (self-restraint), ‘asteya’ (non-stealing), ‘shauch’ (cleanliness), ‘Indriya Nigraha’ (controlling the senses), ‘satya’ (truth) and ‘akrodh’ (victory over anger).

He emphasised the continued endeavour for observing these not only during the camp but also throughout life. Citing the qualities of swayamsevaks like uncompromising commitment to the goal, clarity about ideology, affinity towards all, hard work and discipline, Shri Bhagaiah stressed the importance of observing these in action and behaviour of the individuals during the camp. Highlighting the need for participating in physical exercise related activities and particularly for gaining expertise in yoga asanas, he also laid stress on the need for clarity on various activities of RSS. He compared the SSV to penance or ‘sadhana’. Calling upon the swayamsevaks to involve in each and every activity with full devotion, he wished all successful completion of the training.

The total 852 participants of camp are in the age group of 40-65. Dr Govind Sharma, president of National Book Trust is Sarvadhikari. Shri Subhash Ahuja, Haryana Prant Karyavah is Karyavah, while Shri Rajendra Kumar, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Pramukh for Dharma Jagaran Samanvay Vibhag is Palak Adhikari. RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Shri Mukunda CR, Akhil Bharatiya Sharirik Pramukh Sunil Kulkarni, Akhil Bharatiya Bouddhik Pramukh Shri Swant Ranjan, Sah Bouddhik Pramukh Shri Sunil Mehra and Akhil Bharatiya Vyavastha Pramukh Shri Mangesh Bhende were conspicuous by their presence.
