With an assembly line of Historians (Distorians) like Romila Thapar, is there a surprise we have celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha ? It isn’t Sonakshi Sinha’s fault at all. The blame squarely sits at the doors of our Marxist Historians and their legacy that created them and nurtured them; the Nehruvian Legacy

Social media in India witnessed a “Mahabharat” of sorts on the “Ramayan” knowledge of Sonakshi Sinha. It is a well known fact that Sonakshi lives in a house named Ramayan and her brothers are named Luv and Kush. Social media claims Ram, Lakshman and Bharat are her paternal uncles. Most importantly, she is daughter of Shatrughan Sinha, former BJP MP and Central Minister, who is whiling his time away in Congress now.

In spite of this Pauranic family background, Sonakshi blundered on the television show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. She couldn’t answer when asked, “According to the Ramayana, Hanuman fetched the Sanjeevini herb for whom?” Twitter trended #YoSonakshiSoDumb for over 24 hours.

As expected, Bollywood jumped in to protect Sonakshi from trolling by the Hindu right wing. “Why are the Bhakts creating such a big ruckus about Sonakshi not remembering for whom did Hanuman fetch Sanjeevini booti in Ramayan? Anyone can forget the name of Abhimanyu in Ramayan. After all it isn’t as if he was so famous like the fabulous four Panch Pandavas, Ram, Krishna, Karan and Arjun.” Bhawra Saskar, the President of the ad hoc committee of Bollywood Bimbos for Sonakshi Sinha (BBSS) declared.

Another Bollywood prodigy Balia Hutt was more forthright and said, “What’s the deal? Even I have not watched Mahabharat. I was too young when Uday Chopra uncle directed the Mahabharat serial. I didn’t even know Bhishma Pitamah and Shaktiman were one and the same till my father told me. Daddy also told me Yudhishtir had acted in porn movies.”

Sodumb Cooper, the iconic fashionista of Bollywood added, “I am more Indian than these trolls. They have forgotten what Ram had preached. Remember Ram told, only those who have not sinned will throw the stones. That is how Ram Setu was built. All of us make mistakes. To forgive is divine. This too was told by Lord Ram to Arjun. We all must learn to forgive these mistakes like Ram forgave hundred mistakes of Pashupala.”

Well these lines may sound too outrageous to believe but we are a country where Bollywood stars share Gyaan to people how to celebrate their festivals. Those stars who don’t know the name of incumbent President of India are our opinion makers and Gyaan givers. But how did we reach here? How did we become a nation of people bereft of any national pride or self-respect? How did we manage to churn out generation after generation of ignoramuses who look down upon everything that is Bharat?

The answer may sound like a cliche but nonetheless the truth has to be told. “Blame it on Nehru”. Unlike the Bollywood bimbos, some of the awakened people do know who was the first Education Minister of independent India. It was Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the man handpicked by Nehru to ru(i)n the education policies of India. Serving (his own ideology) for over a decade, the Big Daddy of Indian Khilafat movement made sure the Mughals and Islamic rulers were glorified in our history books, because he prided himself on being a descendant of Mughals.

Year after year, our children grew up learning our history from this Nehruvian legacy. Our history meant Aryan invasion, subjugation of Dravidians, Mahaveera, Buddha, Mauryas, Ashoka, Gupta dynasty, victorious invaders, glory of Mughals, British rule, Gandhi, Nehru and Independence. Slowly and steadily, Ramayana and Mahabharata were depicted as Mythology and consigned to dustbin of history. They assassinated Sanskrit and declared it a dead language. That was good enough to create a nation without any knowledge about one’s own heritage, history and hierarchy.

Sonakshi Sinha is just a symptom of the chronic illness that has plagued India. The real ailments are the Marxist Historians born out of the nepotistic ecosystem fostered by Nehruvian legacy. Romila Thapar is the carrier of this chronic ailment. She and her fellow Distorians like Irfan Habib have lead us to the pathological situation of today. Sonakshi Sinha is a product of the Romila Thapar School of Distory.

Romila Thapar recently declared in one of her talks, “Yudhishtir got the idea and inspiration for renunciation from Buddhism, due to influence of Ashoka.” We should not be surprised if we get more such gems from Romila Thapar. Tomorrow, she might add, “Ram borrowed concept of Ram Rajya from Akbar the Great.” Or “Benevolent Dictator Aurangzeb inspired Emperor Bharata.” Or “Krishna’s inspiration in the art of politics was Chanakya.” We may even have to accept “Arjun refusing to fight Kauravas was due to influence of Nehru.”

Dr KK Mohammed, former regional head of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) is on record about the role of Marxist Historians like Romila Thapar and Irfan Habib in prolonging the Ayodhya dispute. Dr KK Mohammed was a part of the ASI team that excavated the disputed site at Ayodhya. The emphatic conclusion of the team was that Babri Masjid indeed was built on a destroyed temple. But our eminent Distorians opposed disclosure of the truth and wanted the case to drag on for reasons best known to them.
With an assembly line of Historians (Distorians) like this, is there a surprise we have celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha? It isn’t Sonakshi Sinha’s fault at all. She is just one of the millions of millennials who have absolutely no knowledge about India that is Bharat. The blame squarely sits at the doors of our Marxist Historians and the legacy that created them, nurtured them and made them the ultimate authority in matters they had absolutely no knowledge about; the Nehruvian Legacy.
