New Delhi: “The consciousness of Indian literature wishes for the welfare of the entire universe. Literature has the strength to motivate society. That is why our saints have united the nation in one thread through their writings,” said former judge of Allahabad High Court and presently Lokayukta of Chhattisgarh Justice Shri Shambhunath Srivastava, while speaking at the state conference of Indraprastha Sahitya Bharati recently. The conference was held in association with the Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti.
 
Presiding over the conference, president of Indraprastha Sahitya Bharati Dr Ramsharan Gaur stressed the need to compose the literature which generates a positive feeling. Director of Kendriya Hindi Sansthan Dr Nandkishore Pandey said literature makes the life happy. He said disintegration has never been the Indian vision. Rather we thought for the welfare of every creature. General secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad Shri Rishi Kumar Mishra spoke about the aims and objectives of the Parishad. Director of Haryana Sahitya Akademi Dr Purnamal Gaur apprised the gathering of the awards that have been started by the academy for writers.
 
Dr Avajinesh Awasthi spoke about the contribution of Gandhiji in Indian literature. He said Gandhiji stressed on Indian thoughts in both words and action. Dr Vinod Babbar said Gandhiji tried to give a voice to the voiceless. Director of Sewa international Shri Shyam Parande said Gandhiji immensely supported the Indian languages. This session was presided over by vice chairman of Kendriya Hindi Sansthan Dr Kamal Kishore Goenka. RSS Delhi Prant Praudh Pramukh Shri Uttam Prakash also spoke. Some literary persons were felicitated during the conference.
