Such cases have been on rise due to derelict attitude of police officials who have been unable to check the crime rate in state under Gehlot government. Meanwhile, in an other incident, kanwariyas were left anguished when police officials directed the DJ to stop playing bhajans and patriotic songs when they were taking out a yatra. They staged dharna there itself. One of kanwadiyas said, “If I can’t play patriotic song in India, should he play it in Pakistan. A police team reached the location and placated them.

Later Hindu delegation met ASP and protested against forcing the DJ switch off patriotic and devotional songs. It was informed that Vande Mataram was being sung when police officials asked them to stop playing based on the complaint made by a Muslim citizen.

Such cases are being reported from different parts of Rajasthan as police machinery looks crumbling, said one of the kanwariyas.
