?Hindu Munnani in Every House?

Pongalur: Tiruppur District witnessed a mammoth spiritual gathering in the history of Tamil Nadu from December 23 to 25. For the last 11 years, Coimbatore Vibhag of Hindu Munnani (comprising Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Erode and Tiruppur districts) organises programmes for youth on January 26 and programmes for women on December 25. This year the Coimbatore Vibhag planned to organise one lakh families at one place with the motto ‘Hindu Munnani in every house and Hindu Munnani Committee in every street’.
 
To acquire divine power and love to the Hindu community, Gaja Puja (strength), Ashwa Puja (speed) and Gau Puja (peace) was conducted. One Gaja Puja, 17 Yagnas, 108 Ashwa Puja, 1008 Gau Puja and 1 lakh families’ meet, Meenakshi Kalyanam and Andal Thiru Kalyanam were organised for three days. Four Rath Yatras in four districts were organised. Through the yatra, meetings at 1380 places were organised. A total of 2,17,640 people performed puja during the yatra. For yajnas, bricks and ghee were also received from the public. A total of 1,25,000 bricks and 1100 litre ghee were received from the devotees. To purify the yajna place, more than 500 women involved themselves in coating with cow-dung.
 
An exhibition showcasing the achievements of Hindu Munnani was also organised. The postal department released a special postal cover depicting the historic event. To surprise all, 190 Ashwas came to the event place and puja was done to all. On December 24, Gau Puja with 1008 indigenous breed of cows were also performed.
 
Founder of Hindu Munnani, Shri Ramagopalan, state general secretary Sri N Muruganandam, state organiser Shri Bakthavatsalam and other leaders called for a vigilant, united Hindu society. RSS Dakshin Tamil Nadu Prant Sanghachalak Shri RVS Marimuthu presided over the function. RSS National Executive member Shri Sethumadhavan was also present. The event witnessed around 5 lakh people on all the three days.
