Six Hindu women have approached the Amahiya police station in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, alleging repeated stalking, harassment and pressure to convert against a man identified as Saif Pathan.
According to local reports and social media posts, the women work in different companies in the area and alleged that Pathan’s office is located near their workplaces. They claimed that he had been following them for several days and repeatedly approaching them despite being asked to stop.
The complainants also alleged that Pathan made unwanted remarks and pressured them to convert to Islam. According to their account, the alleged behaviour continued despite their objections, leaving them concerned for their safety.
Reports circulating on September 21 said the women approached the Amahiya police station and submitted their complaint. Police are reportedly looking into the allegations.
Not one, not two, but half a dozen girls reached a police station in Rewa, MP, and filed a complaint against Shaikh Pathan.

The allegations have also been reported by local social media-based news outlets.
At this stage, the allegations remain under investigation. No independent confirmation of the specific allegations, including an FIR number or arrest, has been established from the material provided. The police investigation will determine whether the alleged stalking, harassment and pressure to convert took place and what legal action, if any, follows.
Bhopal case involving fake identity
The Rewa complaint comes amid a separate case reported recently in Bhopal, where police arrested Jumman Ansari after a 20-year-old woman alleged that he had used the name ‘Krish Jain’ on Instagram while befriending her.
According to the woman’s complaint, the two remained in contact for around a year before Ansari allegedly took her to Delhi on the pretext of marriage.
The woman alleged that his actual identity came to light at the Delhi railway station, where he suggested that they go to a mosque for nikah. She objected, following which a dispute reportedly broke out and the Delhi Government Railway Police intervened.
Bhopal Police subsequently brought the woman back safely, while Ansari was arrested and sent to judicial custody, according to the reports.
The Bhopal case and the Rewa complaint are separate incidents. While the Bhopal case has resulted in an arrest, the Rewa allegations are currently at the complaint and investigation stage. Allegations made in the Rewa complaint will need to be established through the police investigation and any subsequent legal proceedings.
