The incident reportedly took place on the evening of September 19 when the girl and her friend, both Class 10 students, were returning after visiting Madwa Pahar in Jamui.
According to police, the two minors, who live in Jamui city, had gone to Madwa Pahar on a scooter after attending coaching classes. While returning, they were stopped on the road by a group of youths.
Videos circulating on social media purportedly show the girl surrounded by several youths. One of them is seen touching her inappropriately, while another appears to forcibly lift her. The girl is also seen being dragged as her friend is kept away from her.

Girl seen pleading with youths
In one of the videos, the youths can be heard asking the girl for her name and address while surrounding her. Some of them then touch her inappropriately and drag her along the road.
At one point, other youths appear to intervene and free the girl. However, she is stopped again shortly afterwards and subjected to further harassment.
According to the report, the entire incident continued for around 20 minutes. Two shorter clips of the episode — one lasting around 1 minute and 2 seconds and another around 35 seconds — later surfaced on social media.
In the second video, the youths are reportedly seen questioning the girl again before eventually allowing her to leave the spot.
Three arrested after videos go viral
Jamui Police took cognisance of the incident after the videos went viral on social media and launched an investigation.
Police have arrested three people in connection with the case. Further investigation is underway to establish the role of others involved in the incident.
The identities of the two Class 10 students have not been disclosed as they are minors.
