Lucknow: Uttaranchal Utthan Parishad and Parvatiya Mahaparishad jointly organised Pravasi Panchayat to motivate the people of Uttarakhand living outside the state to join developmental activities in their respective villages. Those who interacted with the participants included Uttaranchal Utthan Parishad president Shri Prem Burakoti, general secretary Shri Ramprakash Painyuli, patron of Ganga Samagra Shri Vishwanath Khemka and others. The participants shared their views and the practical problems they encounter while thinking about any developmental activity. Shri Ganesh Joshi from Parvatiya Mahaparishad said they would organise more such events in coming days. The event particularly focused on curbing migration from Uttarakhand. Shri Barakoti on this occasion said village oriented schemes, development according to the values of the Devbhoomi, development of pilgrimage places, etc may prove to be boon for the state.
