Ajmer: “Naxals or Maoists are not confined to merely the dense forests or the backward areas of the country, they have deep roots in the cities through so-called intellectuals associated with various institutions of education, arts, literature, etc,” said noted thinker, educationist and Kshetra Karyavah of RSS Shri Hanuman Singh Rathore. He was delivering a lecture on the topic “Urban Naxals: Invisible Threats to National Unity” at Government Degree College on November 4.

Shri Rathore said the economically deprived people in whose name they make a hue and cry, are rarely benefited, and the urban Naxals are more dangerous than the Naxals active in backward areas. They use the money and resources that they receive from foreign countries to incite the people and create anarchy in the country. He said the real agenda of these elements who are involved in creating intellectual terrorism is not visible prima facie. They disguise as a progressive civil society when they raise various issues like freedom of expression, human rights, intolerance, feminism, etc through social media platforms. They are conspiring to disintegrate the society, disrespect the Indian culture, family system and Indian values. He said these anti-national elements are also involved in creating anti-India discourse and have got some success in dividing the society in the name of Dalits, indigenous people, upper and lower castes, etc. He called upon the people to strengthen national unity rising above the caste, community, religion and ideological considerations and at the same time expose the conspiracies of the Urban Naxals.
Earlier Dr Narayan Lal Gupta, general secretary of Rajasthan University and Colleges Teachers Federation, introduced the topic of discussion.
