Dehradun:Vigyan Bharati Uttarakhand organised a press conference on September 15 to brief the media about Vigyan Manthan competition organised annually by the Vigyan Bharati. State president Dr Mahesh Bhat and state secretary Dr Girish Semwal briefed the media. Shri Semwal pointed out that the competition is held at theree levels to discover the scientific talent of the students. The objective of the competition is also to apprise the students about the contribution of Indian sages and scientists in the field of science.

State convener of the competition Shri RP Nautiyal pointed out that the competition is held at district, state and national level. The students selected at all these levels are felicitated and are provided with the opportunity to interact with the top scientists of the country and also visit the national level labs. He said the online registration for this year’s competition has begun and the last date for enrolment is September 30, 2018. The enrollment can be done by visiting www.vvm.org.in. This competition is held online only. This year this competition is being held in association with the Vigyan Prasar of the Union Ministry of Science and Technology and NCERT. The Kendriya Vidyalayas, Central Board of Secondary Education, SGRR, DAV and many other state education boards have directed their students to join the competition.
