Bengaluru: “Our civilisation is nothing but the sum total of what we have gained over the millennia. What we study today has all been influenced by the millennia based knowledge. This knowledge tradition has to be carried forward,” said top scientist and former Chairman of ISRO Dr K Kasturirangan on August 31, while releasing a book ‘Innovations in Administration’ at his office. The book is based on the innovative experiments conducted by former Additional Chief Secretary of Karnataka Government Shri Bharat Lal Meena and has been edited by Chief News Coordinator of Organiser Dr Pramod Kumar.

Dr Kasturirangan stressed the need to promote innovations in every sphere of life and popularise them so that others can emulate them. The Foreward of the book has also been written by Dr Kasturirangan. He said the book is an excellent account of out of the box experiments conducted by Shri Meena during the service of over three decades. He said some officers have really become the anchor of the country’s aspirations and development. “Shri Meena has held diverse responsibilities in the government and I also have the privilege of working with him in the area of education. He has tried to transform the Karnataka education scenario,” he added.
The book was later released at ASMA Annual Convention & Awards 2018 held at the Leela Palace. The theme of the two-day conference was Digital Transformation of Higher Education: Emerging Role of Social Media. The event was attended by over 200 thought leaders, opinion makers and change agents from the Academia, Government and Technology.
