“Every time the LDF is in power, incidents of violence increase. The kind of wounds that were inflicted on Rajesh would even have embarrassed terrorists,” Arun Jaitely said  in Thiruvananthapuram

Senior Union Minister Arun Jaitley’s flying visit to Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital, was an eventful one in the wake of the continuous CPM attacks on the workers and offices of RSS, BJP and RSS-inspired organisations. Union Minister for Finance and Defence came to the capital city on August 6. He visited the house of Balidani RSS karyavah Rajesh and consoled his family members including his bereaved parents and his wife and children. He told them that the workers of BJP and RSS of the entire country were with them. An emotional Minister found it difficult to continue his conversation after having a few words with the six year old son of the slain Rajesh. He handed over the purse, sponsored by the BJP NRI cell, to Rajesh’s wife. He offered floral tributes to the picture of Rajesh.
Later, Jaitley participated in a conclave of the victims and dependants of the victims of CPM atrocities in Thiruvananthapuram. Addressing the gathering the Union Minister said that Rajesh belonged to a backward community who had done no harm to anyone. But, the way Rajesh was murdered was in the most brutal manner which even an enemy country would hate to do. He referred to more than 80 wounds in Rajesh’s body and the inhuman way of chopping his arm and throwing it away. Still the public figures who otherwise shout against BJP for one or other reason do keep mum. What would have happened if a similar murder had been taken place in a BJP-ruled state? Award Wapsi, blank editorials, stalling of the Houses of Parliament and what not! The same time the assailants and killers are painted as victims; it is really strange. The wounds and injuries on the body of Rajesh are barbarian and savage. “The kind of wounds that were inflicted on Rajesh would even have embarrassed terrorists,” he added.
Whenever LDF comes to power in the state, political atrocities are high. Political violence should be stopped. Central and State leadership of BJP are ready to co-operate in this endeavour. Here, when CPM workers attack BJP offices, policemen are either mum or act as supporters. The State Government should have the political will to suppress such uncivilised attacks.
The Minister said that the state of Kerala does have large potential for development. But, unfortunately, the ruling party’s priority is in the killing of the political opponents. He called on the party workers to stand by the victims of these attacks. If CPM thinks that it can suppress BJP and eliminate its workers by force, it is all their wishful thinking. The whole country is with the workers of RSS and BJP in Kerala in the midst of the state sponsored terrorism in the state. CPM attacked and demolished the houses of several BJP councilors recently. Mother and aunt of Balidani Kannamoola Vishnu also attended the conclave. Vishnu was killed by the CPM goons few months before.
BJP leaders Kummanam Rajasekharan, H Raja, Nalin Katteel MP, Rajiv Chandrasekhar MP, Richard Hay MP, O Rajagopal MLA, V Muraleedharan,  Adv. Suresh, RSS Dakshin Kshethra Shareerik Pramukh OK Mohan and Kerala Congress leader and former Union Minister of State PC Thomas and several other leaders  accompanied the Minister.
