Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat and DICCI Chairman Shri Milind Kamble release Collector’s Editions of Organiser and Panchjanya on 90 years of RSS

 Pramod Kumar

New Delhi: It is difficult to understand the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) by having a prejudice, hidden agenda, or merely reading books and hearing something from others. It can better be understood by practically joining it. Therefore, I invite you to come and join RSS. You can go back at any time,
if you don’t like. These editions of Organiser and Panchjanya will
generate curiosity and open a new
window for many people to know about the RSS,” said the RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat, while releasing the Collector’s Editions of Organiser and Panchjanya at Kidarnath Sahani Auditorium of Civic Centre in New Delhi on December 1.
Chairman of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI) Shri Milind Kamble, Bharat Prakashan Managing Director Shri Alok Kumar, Group Editor of Organiser and Panchjanya Shri Jagdish Upasane, Organiser editor Shri Prafulla Ketkar and Panchjanya editor Shri Hitesh Shankar also shared the dais.
RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhayyaji Joshi, Sahsarkaryavahs Shri Suresh Soni, Shri V Bhagaiah and Dr Krishna Gopal, Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Kulbhushan Ahuja, Delhi Prant Karyavah Shri Bharat Bhushan, Union Ministers Dr Harsh Vardhan, Ravi Shankar Prasad and many MPs from various parties were also present.
Shri Bhagwat said the people today trust the RSS not because of any
publicity, but owing to its constructive activities and affectionate behaviour of the swayamsevaks. “The Sangh is committed to the truth. That is why it is continuously growing during all these years, and now it is ahead of all the organisations. The publication of these Collector’s Editions highlighting different phases of the 90 years’ journey is a welcome step,” he said.
The Sarsanghachalak said the RSS does not believe in owning responsibility for everything. Rather, it believes in collective action.  “We do not own the responsibility of doing everything assuring others to sit silently. We believe in collective action. Anybody who is once influenced with the RSS work cannot leave it throughout his life. It is because he starts realising his responsibility towards the society and the nation as he joins the Sangh work. It is the feeling that the Sangh generates in every swayamsevak. We work for
reconnecting the Hindu society to its roots and for betterment of the entire
universe,” he said.
He called upon the Hindu society to shun the wrong practices, which are weakening it. “We firmly believe that the Hindu society will have to shun all the wrong practices it has adopted over a period of time and also the evils like ego, to generate the feeling of harmony in all the communities and ways of worship in the world,” he said adding that the British coined different
definitions of the word ‘Hindu’ to
generate various misconceptions to
farther their evil designs. Whereas, the fact is that all Indians are Hindus. It is merely the matter of thinking.
Referring to the recent train accident near Kanpur, the Sarsanghachalak said the Sangh swayamsevaks were first to reach the spot for rescue operation. At the same time some anti-social elements also reportedly reached there with a view to steal the precious things of the
passengers. But the Railways officials immediately directed the local
administration not to allow anybody to reach there, except the RSS workers. The Railways trusted the Sangh workers due to their honesty and commitment. This shows the impact and image of the RSS in the society. “It took long span to
generate this trust. After the formation of RSS in 1925, the Sangh workers of the first generation expanded the Sangh work in all nooks and corners of the country, despite opposition and avoidance. The dedication and sacrifices of the swayamsevaks were realised by the society after the Independence. Similarly, during the Emergency also the public vision to look towards the Sangh changed. Now the expectations from the Sangh have increased manifold. It is the result of decades’ long hard work of the swayamsevaks,” the Sarsanghachalak said.
Shri Milind Kamble, who is dedicated to generate the feeling of self-respect among the Dalits, said Dalits are no longer the sections of the society who seek scholarship and job. Rather they are now the job givers contributing equally in the national growth. He said there are 1.25 lakh branches of 27 nationalised banks in the country. If every branch decides to make one Dalit an
entrepreneur annually, we can make 1.25 lakh entrepreneurs every year. He applauded the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for economic empowerment of the Dalits and also
giving befitting tribute to Baba Saheb Ambedkar by developing five important places related to him—Janmabhoomi, Shiksha Bhoomi, Chaitanya Bhoomi, Deekasha Bhoomi and Nirvan Bhoomi.
Shri Jagdish Upasane said
publication of the Collector’s Editions is an ordinary thing for a newspaper, but what makes it significant is the fact that it is about an extraordinary organisation, the RSS. He said there should have been an objective analysis of the 90 years
journey of RSS. But it was not done by the mainstream media. “Perhaps, they are waiting for centenary of the RSS. But how the RSS continued to grow in all these years even after two bans and many other attempts to crush it, is the fact which wonders all. The
man-making work that the RSS has been doing since its inception is hardly done by any other organisation. It is the outcome of the dedication and sacrifices by innumerable Sangh workers who dedicated their entire lives for this
objective.
Shri Hitesh Shankar said the Collectors Editions are an attempt to “connect the missing links about the RSS”. These issues would act as a bridge between the RSS and those who want to know the RSS closely,” he said.
Shri Prafulla Ketkar said the RSS is a thought that has evolved with the time. Saying that there can be no other liberal and democratic organisation than the RSS, he termed the Sangh as “a model of collective thinking”. Now the Sangh swayamsevaks are setting the discourse in the society through their selfless activities. He said the 90 years journey of the RSS has been divided into four parts — from 1925 to 1947, 1947 to 1977, 1977 to 2006 and from 2006 till today and it is indeed an objective analysis of the RSS 90 years journey. Shri Alok Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.
