Kerala has taken up annual subscription drive for Organiser weekly. The programme was conducted along with the month long annual subscription drive for Malayalam weekly Kesari. Shri PB Amshulal received the first receipt for Organiser
subscription from Advocate Shri PK Sreekumar.
A seminar on ‘Kashmir Issues & Remedies’ was also
organised in connection with the Kesari subscription drive.
Dr NR Madhu, editor of Kesari, RSS Prant Bouddhik Pramukh Shri KP Radhakrishnan, Islamic mediaperson Shri O Abdulla and Left writer Shri Civic Chandran participated in the seminar. While Shri Chandran argued for the “self determination of the people of Kashmir,” Shri Abdulla said Bharat is the safest haven for Islam in the world. The formation of Pakistan was a historic blunder. Muslims in Bharat get more religious freedom in Bharat than their counterparts get in Pakistan. Pakistan cannot claim Kashmir. We do not have to discuss Kashmir with Pakistan. Pakistani women go out sans any headgear. But in Bharat Muslims discuss the necessity of headgear for women. Jammu & Kashmir is a State without much communal riots. Solution to the Kashmir issue should be within the framework of Indian Constitution; Islam has nothing to do with it.
Shri Radhakrishnan opined that the only solution to Kashmir issue should be based on the concept of national integrity and nationalistic thoughts. Dr Ulloor M Parameshwaran received the first receipt for Kesari subscription. n
