SFI-CPM goons forced Chairperson of a College Union to resign and declared their defaulter candidate as the new Union Chairman

T Satisan, Kochi

Bulbul Roy, the chairperson-elect of the Idikki Sahyajyothi Arts and Science College, Kumily, Idikki district, resigned from the elected position under threat and pressure from the CPM and SFI goons. The incident took place on September 10, 2016. SFI candidate Jishnu’s nomination paper was rejected due to the fee arrears he had to settle. As a result, Bulbul Roy was elected unopposed, something SFI and local CPM men could not tolerate. The CPM men entered the college and threatened Bulbul and forced her to resign. Simultaneously, the goons phoned her parents and warned that their ward would not reach home safely. The same time, some CPM goons went to her house and threatened her parents directly. This led to her resignation. Then the jubilant, ‘tolerant’ and ‘democractic’ comrades declared their defaulter candidate as the college union chairman! The threats and harassments were unleashed in the presence of the management of the college run by Malankara Catholic Archdiocese of Tiruvilla.
When media persons reached the campus to report, SFI men blocked their vehicles and attempted to attack them. The mobile camera used to videograph the criminal anarchy was snatched by the goons.
Now, Bulbul Roy is all set to complain before the Human Rights Commission and Women’s Commission. Bulbul says, if she had not resigned, the situation would have been different.
This is the latest incident in the chain of the criminal politics CPM has been practising in Kerala since they took over the state administration hundred and fifteen days before.  Kumily incident proves that what RSS
oriented organisations have been saying since the last several decades is right; they have been alleging that whenever a political clash takes place in Kerala, CPM is a common factor there. This incident exposes the CPM claim that they have been resisting the RSS/BJP attacks against them as a price they pay for protecting the minorities from the killing spree of RSS ! Few days before even a CPI man was their victim.

Jihadi  threat in Kochi

 T Satisan, Kochi

“Peace and Harmony,’ a programme organised by the local unit of the Jamaat-e-Islami, had to be shifted to a nearby school when the police authorities asked them to do so. It is reported that the police instructed to shift the venue due to the security threat the police got. The progrmme had to be organised near Kerala High Court. The place is a usual venue for the public meetings.
‘Peace and Harmony’ was addressed by leaders of different religions and communities. Police beefed up the security in view of the threat. However police was not willing to disclose the details to the media. They would not even tell the ‘source’ of inspiration. The organisers did not disclose anything either. Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mujib Rehman said, they changed the venue as they heard from the police about the gravity of the safety measures they were going to take.
There were reports of a threat of NICE (France) model terror truck attack. This is blatant Thalibanism. There are extremists who do not tolerate the mixing of the representatives of different religions on a platform. Following the intelligence report Ernakulam Range IG of Police cancelled his Idukki tour and returned to Kochi.  Rahul Ishwar, a popular Hindu spokesman, media debater and member of the Sabarimala thanthri family, was stopped by the police from
participating in the discussion programme, obviously in the wake of the terror attack.
This is really one of the several warnings Keralites have to consider seriously. They can no more trust the pseudo secular claim that Kerala
is safe.
