“The best type of service is to remove the basic disease of the loss of national consciousness and cohesion and build a strong, well-organised and self-sustaining national life.” — Shri Guruji

The democratic and progressive forces are up with arms again in the name of saving JNU. It is deliberately projected as if the whole institution is being targeted with political intentions. For the cause, the ‘freedom of expression’ (FoE) lobby is trying to defend the indefensible, anti-Bharat sloganeering and separatist tendencies. One would have believed the sincerity of these people if once they would have stood or any democratic rights for the national cause. If we follow their sinister efforts, intellectually their  claims of freedom are as  fallacious as of Afzals and Yakubs.
The free speech lobby openly follow double standards when it comes to listening to the alternative perspectives. In the same JNU, democratic and progressive forces did not allow any Israeli scholar to present his point of view, as if terrorism in the name of Palestine cause only has FoE. The US ambassador was not allowed to speak in the event of Centre for American Studies as he is an imperialist agent so cannot enjoy FoE. The Kashmiri separatists can speak their mind as they are the ‘nationalists’, but a nationalist like  the late Ashok Singhal is not allowed to speak on Ram Janmabhoomi as he is conveniently branded as ‘communal’ and ‘fascist’ by the FoE forces.
Similarly, the killing of CRPF personnel by the Maoists is allowed to be celebrated but the felicitation of martyrs of police and armed forces personnel in the Parliament attack is vehemently opposed. Even Honourable President, who is also the visitor of all the Central Universities, was asked to go back, calling him as ‘Hangman Mukherji’. When students of the same University had to organise themselves as Free Thinkers, as any other organisation with alternative ideological position was almost barred on the campus. Nobody stood for their right to association. The democratically elected Prime Minister of Bharat is regularly abused and denied entry few kilometres away in another Central University, and that also in the name of democracy. The same FoE lobby dared to write to the US President to deny entry to the Prime Minister of Bharat in the foreign land.
While doing so, their radical ideologies never allow them to agree on their content of democracy and progressiveness. Electorally they fight with each, abuse each other, if necessary even kill each other as seen in Bengal but whenever their intellectual space gets shrunk, they gang up together to target RSS and other nationalist forces. Even the Congress finds it convenient to align with them as they provide intellectual fodder to the grand old party for its survival.
The reality is anti-national elements fed by the foreign funding and separatist tendencies within Bharat, try to take the cover of democratic rights ensured by the Constitution. At the same time, they challenge the very Constitution by the same standing behind Maoists, terrorists and separatists. Any action against the same is slandered as human rights violation. For protecting these rights, they would approach the US or                     international agencies who otherwise are agents of imperialism. Encouraging anti-national sentiments on divisive lines, propagating violent revolution, justifying terrorism in the name of fight for justice is the real content of their ‘democracy’. Instead of supporting the unifying tendencies they invent divisive theories such as Aryan invasion to further the pre-independence British agenda. They are neither democratic nor progressive but authoritatively regressive. Any attempt of nationalising the discourse is dumped as saffronisation and communalisation.
Now with the awakening of the masses, ‘the basic disease of the loss of national consciousness and cohesion’ is addressed and therefore, the outrage against any support to the anti-Bharat sloganeering is loud and open. United, prosperous and proud Bharat has arrived and no venomous attempt to attack the national unity and integrity would be tolerated again, is the clear message for these fallacious proponents of freedom.
