Secular Educational and Research Centre (SEARCH)  was formed in Hyderabad involving intellectuals.

A new and novel socio-cultural association by name SEARCH was formed in Hyderabad on October 22. Secular Educational and Research Centre (SEARCH) founder general secretary JL Narayana (78), said, “The organisation hopes to conduct symposia and lectures and research on Indian culture, history and socio-economic development and also publishing books and booklets at reasonable prices.
Secularism is the concept which vitalises the integrated values in modern society. But the trend of multi-pluralistic society is crippled by the new phraseology of pseudo-secularism. India is having multi-dimensional aspects of political processes starting from religious ethos to modern positive secularism. However the religiosity of Bharatiya society comes across different facet of secular norms. Especially in Bharat from the emergence of the metaphysical society to present materialistic aspects of society the religion was misinterpreted at various levels depending upon who conceives about this, Shri Narayana said.
The word ‘Secular’ was put in single inverted commas stressing that they support the ideas and deeds of President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The Managing Committee members  of Search are already working in different fields and its tagline is 'Think new. Together we grow!' The programme on Vijayadashami Day began with lecture-demonstration on Kuchipudi classical dance of AP by Dandi Venkata Sreenivasa Sastry, a great singer working with Central University of Hyderabad under the stewardship of  Prof. Anuradha Jonnalagadda and other students under her. Leading editors of Andhra Pradesh dailies Shri MVR Shastry, Shri Valleshwar and Dr Vijayasaradhi were also present on the occasion.                                         -Nagaraj Rao

ABVP denies Indian Express Report

The CBI has started investigation into the incident. The ABVP demands that those found guilty in the incident should be punished.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on October 26 denied the news report published by the Indian Express claiming that Dadri lynching was result of Akhlaq’s son affair with a Hindu girl. In a statement issued in New Delhi on October 26, ABVP national general secretary Shrihari Borikar said the report published in the Indian Express was totally fictitious and baseless. Shri Borikar condemned in attempt on the part of The Indian Express to fabricate the facts. “The incident of Dadri is painful and the ABVP condemns it in strongest the words. The government has handed over the investigation to CBI. The ABVP has full trust in the Agency and it clearly believes that the real facts behind the incident will come out before the society through this investigation,” Shri Borikar said in the statement.
He also made it clear that the ABVP  neither constituted  any inquiry committee to study the incident and  nor it has come across any such fact, which has been mentioned in the Indian Express report. “The ABVP appeals to the media and the political parties not to give the incident a political colour and also appeals to the society to maintain peace. The CBI has started inviestigation into the incident. The ABVP demands that those found guilty in the incident  should be punished,” the statement said.
It is to be noted that the Indian Express on October 25 reported that the “Dadri lynching was the result of a personal dispute, with one of Mohammad Akhlaq’s two sons having a “love affair with a Hindu girl”, and that politicians wrongly projected it as a fallout of “beef consumption”.
