An image of the national past with which present generations can identify themselves, which gives them a feeling of pride in their own national identity and thus can also  serve as a catalyst in a nation building process.
Politics and economics without idealism will end up in a disaster,   feels Shirish Dhopeshwarkar (popularly known as Dhopeshwar), an enterpreneur based at Hyderabad. Dhopeshwar Engineering Private Limited, Hydera-bad, is an engineering company specialising in supply of Process Plants.
We supply Process Plants & Equipment for 3 sectors, namely, Agri., Poultry & Chemical processing. This engineering company was established by his father (late) SG Dhopeshwarkar in 1963. He has thus completed 38 years in this line successfully. A Post graduate in Management, Shirish consolidated the company product range and market. He started concentrating on Exports of complete Plants and since then it has exported to 16 countries till now, he added.
Recalling the glorious past and the Industrial Scenario during early part of eighteenth Century, he feels India was more advanced than many of the European nations and with its flourishing industrial centres products of which were well known over the world for their quality low cost and craftsmanship. When Industrial revolution broke in Europe, India was regarded as the richest nation in the world.
The range of our Processing plants & Equipment reflect our rich experience and industrial expertise. Our expertise in supplying fully Integrated plants, knowledge of projects, quality of supply & expertise have helped us win the trust and approval of our clients in India & overseas he added. Till date we have successfully completed Exports to 14 countries extending from Papua New Guinea to El Salvador. This list will only grow in the future as orders and enquiries continue to come in from new and emerging markets says a proud entrepreneur.
He is also actively involved in various Industry Associations. Also involved in social organisations like Pragna Bharati since its inception 15 years back. Toured many countries for technical innovation and helped provide substitute for import in engineering products.
He was the President of Laghu Udyog Bharati for 4 years and its National Joint secretary for 2 years and listed at length some issues that dominate the industry as the whole. On finances of many small scale industries he reveals that a common stereotype is about a banker lending an umbrella in sunshine and wanting it back as soon as it rains, gets reinforced in their dealing with small enterprises. It is, therefore, not surprising, that small enterprises prefer to first tap own resources or loans from friends and relatives and then look for external finances. Luckily in today’s environment there are other choices apart from commercial banks and Government owned financial institutions.
Welcoming PM’s initiative in providing access to institutional finance to micro and small business units and enterprises he is sure that it will not only help in improving the quality of life of these entrepreneurs, but also turn them into strong instruments of growth and employment generation, thus paving the way for a strong industrious and vibrant Bharat.
