The 12th State conference of Hindu Aikyavedi was inaugurated by Shri S Sethumadhavan, special invitee to the RSS National Executive, in Malappuram on April 4. Addressing the gathering he said it is absolutely wrong if somebody believes that the religion he believes in is the only right one. Genocides, cold blood murders and tension take place in different parts of the world in the name of religion. The propagators of western religions try to spread their faith on the basis of their slogan that theirs is the only right religion and the only right God. Most of the political parties have been blaming Hindus for ‘Ghar Vapasi ’, views on Mother Teresa, cow slaughter ban, Perumal Murukan issue, etc. Former Prime Minister Morarji Desai was bold enough to tell Mother Teresa that charity activities and conversions cannot go together. Here, Bishop Mar Powathil is arrogant enough to equate RSS with IS terrorists. He is the man who took initiative to upset and damage the communal harmony in the State. NIlakkal issue (1982–83, near Sabarimala) is a glaring example of his evil designs, Shri Sethumadhavan added.

Massive State Conference of Hindu Aikyavedi

Hindu Aikyavedi’s general secretary Shri Kummanam Rajasekharan said emotional unity of Hindu organisations is inevitable. The participants at the conference came together with the ardent wish for solving the problems faced by the Hindus. The very existence of this country depends upon the Hindu unity. The need of the hour is better liaison among different Hindu castes and organisations. This liaison should work within the organisations and among the various organisations.
He added that Kerala government has been sidelining Hindus in all spheres. Kerala CM visited the culprit of the infamous Poonthura riots in the jail. The riot had claimed several precious human lives. Hindu Aikyavedi does stand for the basic needs of not only Hindus, but also all sections of the people. Hindu Aikyavedi fights against environmental exploitation, Aranmula Airport, etc. It is with the people, for their culture, security, prosperity, environment, etc. said State President Sashikala Teacher while addressing the meeting.
Swami Vivekamarutha Chaithanya, chief of Kozhikode Ashram of Amrithantamayi Mission, said Gandhiji and Swami Dayananda Saraswati were dead against cow slaughter. Sanatana Dharma is the basis for existence of the humanity. The recent threat to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s life shows the intolerance towards Hindutva. These tendencies lead to terrorism, he emphasised.
A resolution passed at the conference stated that Hindus lost confidence in the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), which ignores the Hindu interests. In 2012, more than 300 Hindu organisations had presented a charter of demands to the government, but nothing came out in that direction. They did not even considered their demand to raise the grant to SC/ST students to Rs 1,000. Education has been commnunalised, as SSLC questions papers bear Crescent and Star and minority institutions have been granted the Status of Arts & Science College.
Chief of Kulathoor Advaithashram, Kozhikode, Swami Chindanandapuri said people get opportunity to exploit the Hindus when they are divided into castes. Ghar vapasi is not reconversion, but de-conversion. We should strength our ritualistic strength. Our homes should be achara pure (with purity in rituals). We have to elevate the whole world. Unity is essential for it. Let us work hard for it.
Malappuram is a place in Malabar area, Kerala, where the very soil remained red wet for several centuries, thanks to the bloody military campaign of Tipu Sultan and later on several communal riots lashed out by the Muslims against the innocent poor Hindus. “Mauppila Riots or Riots of 1921” is still remembered by Keralites with deep shock and terror. Even though communist governments tried to make them holy by giving pension to the culprits, Keralites still have not taken it dearly. Such a huge conference and a mammoth procession boost the morale of the Hindus.
