The Goraksha activists saved the cattles and held 4 butchers gang which was led by Mohd Ehasan Ali and peacefully halted the situation after intimating the police with a request to send the cattle to nearest gaushala after the recovery. 350-400 activists confined the cattles with the butchers for several hours until the police reached the spot, but did not harm them. When the police reached the spot, the motivated police personnel started pressurising the activists to free the cattle and the butchers on their way. When the activists denied, the police contingent under the leadership of Dilip Paul misbehaved and dispersed the activist forcefully and passed filthy comments. It was reported that, Paul has threatened the activists of filing fake cases against them under non-bail able sections so that they would be arrested and would not be able to rescue any cows so far. He also mentioned that if the activists may think that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will save them from Delhi, it is an absurd thing as the state is still run by Mamata Banerjee from Kolkata.
It was beyond belief statement passed from a senior police officer and aggrieved activists demanded immediate suspension, as he behaves like a Trinamool Congress cadre and a friend of smugglers and butchers. It is apprehended that Paul is getting some advantages from these racket. The activists condemned the anti-Hindu and cruel attitude for cattles by Dilip Paul.
Acharya Yogesh Shastri, Spokesperson of Akhil Bharat Goraksha Mission said that, “Dilip Paul, the Officer-in-charge of Kulti Police Station gave away the detained cattle to the butchers in the night and also helped the smugglers to recover one lost cow from the nearby village in a ‘responsible’ way!”
On September 4, Amar Singh, the leader of Akhil Bharat Goraksha Mission and BJP activist was attacked by a group of butchers and when Singh went to nearby Police Station of Kulti for his personal business. Singh escaped from the situation and went to the Kulti PS in the afternoon for lodging a complaint. But, the duty officer denied to take any complaint in the absence of Dilip Paul and took the written complaint from Singh without giving any receipt and requested to come in the evening.
After returning home, Singh got a call from Kulti Police Station to see the officer-in-charge in the evening. Singh went to Kulti in the evening to meet the Paul in his chamber, he saw some of the attackers and operators of the cow smuggling lobby were also present in Officer’s Chamber. Dilip Paul proposed for a mutual settlement and not to come forward for the gauraksha movement in fore-front.
