Intro: Muslim leaders  appreciate BJP's efforts to recover WAKF properties from encroachments
Muslim leaders under the banner of Garubaidodi Rehabilitation Committee have invited top Muslim religious leaders to participate in JEET JASHAN (Vijay Utsav) function scheduled on September 14 at the same land which is recovered. They want to felicitate top BJP leaders including former Cheif Ministers, BS Yeddyurappa, Jagadish Shettar and DV Sadananda Gowda to acknowledge the true spirit of 'Social Justice' exhibited by BJP.
On the occasion, they want to confer the title 'FATEH A WAKF' (conqueror of WAKF property) to Anwar Manippady who was instrumental in getting the work done.

Karnataka

When Muslim political leaders belonging to Congress and JD(S) could not solve the issue for 18 years, the BJP has played a commendable role.
During the tenure of BJP rule in the state, Karnataka State Minorities Commission headed by then Chairman Anwar Manippady took up the issue of recovering WAKF properties which was encroached upon by prominent Muslim leaders, industrialists and land grabbers. As a first victory, WAKF board has won the case in High Court and it has recovered 20 acres of land in Harohalli Garubaidoddi village in Ramanagar District on the outskirts of Bangalore City.
“The villagers before their own eyes saw Masjid property, Edgah Property and their own properties being taken over, fenced and walled. Villagers approached every government and all their leaders, especially minority leaders. All of them would shed crocodile tears and promise them of redeeming their properties but it never happened in 18 years until the last BJP Government which saved our community” said Syed Anzar Shah Qasmi while briefing media.        —R Guruprasad
