After the rescue operation was over, the Sangh swayamsevaks started some projects for permanent rehabilitation of the victims. “The construction work for a hospital and shelter home is to begin shortly in Narayankoti, on the main route of Kedarnath pilgrimage,” says Shri Lakshmiprasad Jaiswal, RSS Prant Karyavah of Uttarakhand.
He said a plot has been purchased in Guptkashi also for starting a hostel and vocational training centre. Five mobile vans are also move in the entire area providing primary health services. Three hostels have been opened in Tehri, Guptkashi and Dehradun for the children of flood victims. The Sewa International also started a computer training centre at Chandrapuri, Ukhimath. Vatsalya Gram of Didi Maa Sadhvi Ritambhara started a hostel for girls in Narayankoti. Swami Ramdev has also started a hostel for both boys and girls in Narayankoti.
