The wave has hit the shore. Indian masses have voted for a mission. First mission of 272+ is accomplished. This is historical and altered many historical records. After 1984 General Elections, first time any party has secured an absolute majority in Lok Sabha. Leadership, governance and security remained the sole agenda of this election. Modi has been under scanner for a long 12 years.

Since declaration of his candidature as BJP’s PM nominee, frequent attempts were made to raise the communal flare. Modi not only bravely faced this but stuck to development agenda with his team. He preferred to touch the cords of common masses who were frustrated with the corrupt and indecisive government. The nature of victory is such that
 Congress could not touch 50 seats mark on its own. In this march towards mission Modi has transformed the rules of the game and whether one likes it or not the elections remained Modi centric. The unmatched execution of strategies clearly reflected in results. While BJP has completely swept states like Rajasthan Gujarat, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Goa, Congress could not open its account in as many as 7 states. In a key state like UP, except the family seats of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Gandhis, all other seats are won by the BJP. In Congress strongholds like Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh also BJP has effectively eliminated the dynastic dispensation. BJP has also made inroads in the areas where it was conventionally weak. This remarkable victory demands deeper analysis of zone-wise seats and vote-share.

With the first task of security mandate is over, the real mission is to ensure execution of national reconstruction. BJP is not like any other political party. It is in politics for a larger mission of building powerful and prosperous with strong foundation of cultural nationalism. Resurrection of national pride, ensuring national security and providing economic stability and prosperity are the tough tasks ahead. BJP through its manifesto and charismatic leadership has
created environment of ‘hope’. This hope for pride, stability and prosperity demands continuation of hard work. As the vote percentage and seats reflect though BJP has emerged as the pan India and most inclusive party of India, organisationally still it has a long way to go. The mandate is not only for formation of government. It is also for development for all. Many corrective measures are expected by people. While celebrating the stupendous victory, understanding and responding to the real meaning of this mandate is also essential.
