National Seminar on Inclusive Growth & Sustainable Development

undefinedA three-day national seminar on ‘Business Design for Inclusive Growth & Sustainable Development with Special Reference to India’ was organised by Dr Moonje Institute of Management and Computer Studies in Nashik recently.

Speaking on the occasion noted economist Shri S Gurumurthy emphasised on Indian economic model as a key to achieve inclusive growth and sustainable development in India. He elaborated the role of Indian culture and traditions for the same. He also spoke on the future of Indian economy. The session was presided over by Shri PG Kulkarni, general secretary, Central Hindu Military Education Society. The audience included chartered accountants, corporate people, social workers, industrialist, academicians.

Social activist Shri Chaitram Pawar shared his experiences on the journey of designing and implementing an innovative model at village Baripada for inclusive growth and sustainable development. It is worth nothing that the “Baripada Model” is appreciated as a role model for rural development not only all over India but even in abroad.

Shri Ramchandra Bhogale, president of MACCIA flourished a thought of inclusive growth and sustainable development with special reference to Indian economy. Dr Sharad Joshi in his keynote address discussed various parameters of inclusive growth and their impact on sustainable development in India. Chairperson of the inaugural ceremony Shri Subhash Deshmukh, founder of Lokmangal Group, motivated the participants and specially the students for creative way of thinking to develop innovative business models for the sustainable development of the society.

A session on case study on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ was presided over by Shri Uttam Rathod from EPCOS (I) Pvt. Ltd., Nashik. The keynote speaker Col. (Retd.) CN Banerji from Mahindra & Mahindra, Nashik elaborated in detail about the Corporate Social Responsibility.

The session on ‘Women Empowerment’ was chaired by Shri Viraj Lomte, founder director of Shree Yahshree Group, Nashik. The keynote speaker Smt Chandrika Chauhan, founder of Udyogvardhini, Solapur, shared her work and experiences. Experiences of Smt Chandrika Chauhan are really motivating and benchmarking for all participants.

The session on ‘Live Presentation by the Global Management Guru Dabbawala, Mumbai’ was chaired by Dr DG Belgaonkar, Secretary of CHME Society. Shri Gangaram Talekar and Shri Raghunath Medge elaborated the history of Mumbai Dabbawala Foundation. They explained various topics time management, planning, co-ordination, quality management which was beneficial for the development of the participants.

The session on ‘An Innovative Business Model’ was presided over by Shri Mahesh Dabak, Director of MS Switchgear Pvt. Ltd., Nashik. Smt Chetana Sinha, Founder of Mann Deshi Mahila Bank, Satara, shared her experiences of designing and implementing a model of Mann Deshi Mahila Bank at Satara. She discussed challenges and opportunities for women entrepreneur.
