Tribute to Swami Vivekananda in Atalanta

“Bhagwat Gita is the source of my inspiration for whatever I have done in my life. Following the path of Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga with sincerity created a balance in my life even while I was in the war zone in Iraq,” said Tulsi Gabbard, the first Hindu elected to the US Congress. She was speaking at a function organised by United States Hindu Alliance (USHA), a voluntary organistaion in the US, at Atlanta to remember Swami Vivekananda during his 150th birth anniversary on Octoebr 27.
Tulsi spoke of her political journey from Hawai’i to Washington and cited many example of her inspiration from the Bhagwat Gita. She was given a standing ovation at the end of her inspiring speech. More than 30 Hindu organizations of Atlanta supported USHA to make the Tribute to Swami Vivekananda event a great success.
The event organised at Sumant Cultural Center within Shree Shakti Mandir. Consul General of India inaugurated the event. Shri Gokul Kunnath, president of USHA also spoke.
