$img_titleON the occasion of the 97th birth anniversary of Nanaji Deshmukh, a four-day cultural programme was organised from October 18 to 21. The programme was jointly organised by Deendayal Research Institute, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and the District Administration, Satna, at Ramnath Goenka Ghat on the banks of Mandakini River. At the inaugural evening, renowned singer Shri Vipin Sachdeva sang devotional songs, and a dance troupe Puruliya Chhau Nrtya performed on Goddess Durga named as Mahishasur Mardini. In the evening of second day of Shardotsava the folk dances of Madhya Pradesh and Odisha were performed by the artists; and a dance troupe led by famous classical performer Dolly Datta performed dance performances based on the life of Radha-Krishana. On third day the performance was from a dance troupe of West Bengal. On the final day renowned devotional singer Anup Jalota delighted the audience by his excellent singing.
