Denied permission by the Uttar Pradesh Government many times, BJP president Shri Rajnath Singh finally visited Malikpura village of Muzaffarnagar and met the bereaved family of Gaurav and Sachin—whose assassination on August 27 had triggered a wave of violence in the district that left 63 people dead. He also visited Kakra and Sporam village of Shahpur Police Station and also Saradhana Village of Meerut and met the violence affected people. He also met the family members of IBN-7 reporter Rajesh Verma who was killed during the violence by the miscreants.
The family members of Sachin and Gaurav told the visiting BJP president that the district and police officials were acting under pressure from the Muslims. They demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the killing of both the youth. Assuring the family members that the BJP stood with them, Shri Rajnath Singh said his party would not hesitate to approach the courts to get them justice. “It is in the interest of the Samajwadi Party government to clear the air by ordering a CBI probe into the riots in Muzaffarnagar and neighbouring areas,” Shri Singh told media persons. He also demanded adequate compensation for the farmers who have lost their crops and source of livelihood.
Immediately after the violence in Muzaffarnagar and surrounding areas went out of control the Samajwadi Party made all its efforts to prove the hand of Hindu organisations in the riots and it even imposed NSA on two BJP MLAs, Sangit Som and Suresh Rana. Fact is that the riots are the conspiracy of the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress stand exposed in this conspiracy. Mulayam wanted at any cost to break the Jat-Muslim combine hence he tried to protect the Muslims. Similarly, the BSP through its MP Kadir Rana and some other leaders also played a key role in provoking the Muslims against Jats. Congress leaders also joined hands with the BSP leaders in this game plan. Fact is that this whole conspiracy cannot be exposed without a CBI inquiry and why the UP government is evading a CBI inquiry is known to all.
Everybody knows that the visit of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Ch. Ajit Singh and his son Jayant Singh to the violence affected areas was just formality. Now when the BJP president met the riot victims they trusted him and shared the suffering with him. Shri Singh also assured them full support in their fight.
