Surrender before China (Organiser, 19.5.2013); From time to time the Chinese incursion into Indian territory is alarming and posing a threat to India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Candidly, Indian political domain has made the country militarily vulnerable to the external threats due to its myopic and lame policies along with self-centered politics. Moreover, Congress describing it as a localised affair despite the Chinese tactical advancement, thus reminiscing Nehru’s mesmerism of Hindi Chini bhai bhai resulting in 1962 holocaust. Also, the Home Minister describing it as a disputed territory, hence, endorsing the Chinese movement across the LoC is misleading the nation and projecting India as a weak nation with no assertiveness. Though, India could have been a military giant in Asia but the defence preparedness suffered due to the selfish and corrupt politics of the UPA government. India must go for greater and modern military establishments with greater momentum and should try to do away Chinese incursions diplomatically and militarily. And this only people of India can do by replacing UPA-II by BJP.

Our model is welfare of all (Organiser, 12.5.2013); This refers to the article ‘Narendra Modi inaugurates Acharyakulam of Baba Ramdev’ by Ravindra Saini in Organiser. He has given a brief description in the article of what various saints said in praise of Shri Narendra Modi, and wished him to be next the Prime Minister. This is a slap on the face of anti-Hindu political parties, who feel uneasy even in listening to the name of Shri Modi. And I would give full credit to Baba Ramdev for organising so many saints on this occasion and even involving those saints who take little interest in politics and confine themselves to religious discourses only. BJP should include in its election manifesto all possible points, which Baba Ramdev and saints aspire for spiritual, moral and social upliftment of the people. If Congress and other anti-national parties shamelessly ask Muslims for support in lieu of their appeasement and special concessions, BJP is all the more justified in asking the support from Baba Ramdev and saints for a high cause and good of the people.

Minority-majority mindset should be shed off FB Ahmed in his ‘Perspective’ dated 21.4.2013 in The Statesman has rightly pointed out that “Muslims must not get left behind and minority-majority mind set must be shed off”. Further he writes that Hindus and Muslims should develop their personality side by side as in Gujarat. Our government spends huge amount for Haj pilgrims and madrasas. That way they are appeased and not uplifted. Muslim women must play an important role to spread education. This will result in the development of the society. But they are most suppressed section in our country particularly due to their personal law. For the so-called seculars vote-bank is more important than the unity and development of Muslims. If any society or region of the country is backward that country itself remains backward. In educational institutions, offices, factories, playground and market places none feels whether he is Hindu or Muslim. When the matter comes to so-called secularists they apply communalism and maintain it for their political convenience.

Congress makes false promises If Rahul Gandhi thinks he is going to become the next Prime Minister of India, he is living in a fool’s paradise. The Congress has been looting the country. They made false promises before elections and did not fulfil them once they won and came into power. The three Gandhis—Rahul, Priyanka and Sonia made very big speeches before elections, but they were all empty—not one of their promises has been fulfilled so far. Instead, things have become worse after they came to power. And to think we are going to vote for them this time? Not at all! Like his late father, Rajiv, Rahul is not at all fit to become the Prime Minister of India. So are the other two Gandhis, Sonia and Priyanka. The Christians and the Muslims, who have been voting for the Congress since the time of Independence should realise this that the Congress has looted the country since the last 66 years and they are still looting it. It is a government full of corruption, scandals and scams, unlike the BJP and the Shiv Sena.

BJP loss, but not Congress gain (Organiser, 19.5.2013); The voters of Karnataka have notified their preference for the Congress Party. Whether this signifies the rejection of the political philosophy and socio-economic policies of the BJP is not not known. People must make known their conviction with clarity. The BJP must make a detailed examination and arrive at a methodology for winning elections.

Nature: The Divine Mother (Organiser, 14.4.2014); This refers to the article ‘Nature:The Divine Mother’ by Dr Bajranj Lal Gupta in Organiser, page no 14) Our earth is just like our house, we should understand how and where to dispose our waste and keep our sorrounding environment clean. Perhaps the world has badly mistaken the concept of Hindu religion in protecting and maintaining the environment. We have systematically separated and classified various elements of the nature like Wind(Vayu Devata),Fire(Agni Devata),Earth(Dharti Mata), Cobra(Nag Devata), etc. and have designated them as Gods. When the Hindu religion have made them gods, the concept behind them are bound to be respected, guarded and not supposed to be destroyed.Similarly, the Hindu religion have linked some trees with gods, such as Pipal tree—Brahma, Banyan tree—Vishnu and Neem—Maheswara. Since we worship these trees, obviously we are not supposed to destroy them. Apart from that a group of trees which are classified as Kalpavraksha, such as Mango, Coconut, etc.are also forbidden to be destroyed. Again on similar lines, the Hindu religion has designated certain birds and animals as gods. For example Eagle as Garuda and Cow as Kamadhenu. The world should understand the reasons behind designating the elements of the earth, birds and animals as gods by Hindu religion. The simple reason is that all the mentioned above play a major role in keeping our earth’s eco-system alive. Factors like deforestation, improper disposal of different types of wastes, excessive automobile emission, etc. has deteriorated the environment. Better late than never, the world should undertand the essence and concepts of Hindu religion, and stop attacking it.

Idol worship saves man from egocentrism (Organiser, 12.5.2013); Apropos of BK Chaudhari’s letter in the Readers’ Forum page of Organiser approving idol worship. I do not perceive that Hindu scriptures would justify his views. About the writer’s claim that idol worship saves man from egocentrism, is far from reality. I think he has not even referred any dictionary to get the idea about egocentrism. Idol worship leads nowhere as it is venerating ones own handicraft as the Divine. Hindu reformers like Buddha, Mahavira and Vivekananda had opposed idol worship. Brahmo Samaj and Arya Samaj are the new Hindu movements opposed to idol worship. Guru Nanak, Kabeer and Sai Baba of Shirdi too opposed idolatry.

A dummy PM Sonia Gandhi has been successful in her mission to have a dummy Prime Minister who never interferes in the running the country and would vacate the seat when Rahul Gandhi gets ready to takeover. So Nehru family will rule this country for another one or two decades. This is what madam Sonia is dreaming. But her dream will only get fulfilled ‘if’ Congress wins the 2014 general elections. And that is far from reality.
