One of the elderly swayamsevaks of Indore, Trimbak Rao Kulkarni, the father of Assam Prant Pracharak Shri Ulhas Kulkarni, passed away on January 29, 2013. His last rites were performed at Rambagh Mukti Dham. Swayamsevaks in large number gathered to pay their last homage to the departed soul. His eldest son Shri Avinash performed the last rites. Several dignitaries, including Indore Mayor, Zila Sanghchalak Shri Laxman Rao Navathe, editor of Devputra Shri Krishna Kumar Asshthana were also present on the occasion.

Trimbak Rao was affectionately called as Appaji amongst all the swayamsevaks. He studied up to M.Com and worked in Government services. Soon he left the job and started dedicating more time to the Sangh work. But to earn his livelihood, he worked at Indore Paraspar Bank as accounts clerk after a pause of time in Greater Kailash Hospital as an accountant. He attended and insisted to join morning and evening shakhas daily in time. He was the eldest son in his family. He was detained in 1975 Emergency under MISA with 16 other swayamsevaks. His behaviour with the jail authorities and coworkers was so nice to win their hearts. His whole family helped him in Sangh work.
