Rutum Kamgoremembered in Itanagar

ON the occasion of the 1st death anniversary of the late Rutum Kamgo, Sangh?s first Sambhag Karyavah and pioneer activist of Indigenous Faith and Culture Movement in Arunachal Pradesh, the Arunachal Pradesh Charitable Task (APCT) started a memorial lecture, with the aim of rekindling his ideas and mission among the people of Arunachal.

$img_titleON the occasion of the 1st death anniversary of the late Rutum Kamgo, Sangh’s first Sambhag Karyavah and pioneer activist of Indigenous Faith and Culture Movement in Arunachal Pradesh, the Arunachal Pradesh Charitable Task (APCT) started a memorial lecture, with the aim of rekindling his ideas and mission among the people of Arunachal.

The late Kamgo died last year in a tragic road accident while on his way to address a meeting as a preparation for Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat’s Pasighat visit.

Speaking on the event, Shri Tana Tagu Tara, Ddstrict Director of School Education, Papum Pare District, emotionally recalled how the late Kamgo was so energetic in every socio-cultural and nationalistic activies. Eminent priest Tama Mindo, who is the state president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), regretted the great loss to the movement for which he sacrificed his priceless life.

Eminent social worker, Shri Nabam Atum, former IFCSAP president and presently the vice-president of the Northeast Tribal Society Forum and Shri Techi Gubin, director of Urban Development (Housing), who is also the vice-president of Arunachal Vikas Parishad, the state body of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, including the office-bearers of RSS, Sewa Bharati and Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti were among  the many who paid tribute to the great soul. Led by Smt GTawa and G Ete, the Kargu Gamgii, the Galong tribe’s local temple’s women wing, sang divine song for the well-being of the departed soul.
