National Group Song competition by Bharat Vikas Parishad in Jalandhar

THE 8th branch-level National Group Song Competition of Bharat Vikas Parishad was held at DAV Public School in Jalandhar recently. Students from 10 schools participated in the event. The KIIT International School, DAV School, CSpur and Sri Aurobindo Integral School, Khandagiri stood first in Hindi, Sanskrit and Odia disciplines, respectively.
The function was graced by Vice-Chancellor of SOA University Dr RP Mohanty and retired IPS officer Ashok K Sahu as the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively. They addressed the gathering comprising of BVP members, students, teachers and parents and gave away prizes and certificates to winners. BVP state general secretary Geeta Patnaik spoke as an observer and informed the winners to participate at the state-level competition. Shri Gopal C Patra introduced the guests and Prof DD Misra proposed a vote of thanks.
