Karnataka  BJP unit  has organised a day long work shop ‘Congress Hatavo Desh Bachavo’ (Oust Congress Save Country)  campaign against UPA Government  on 14th October in Bengaluru. All the office bearers of the party and senior party workers representing  all 224 Assembly Constituencies were present. Work shop was conducted to throw more light on the UPA Government’s various  scams like Coalgate, 2G Spectrum, Commonwealth Games, IPL, Adarsh Society, Rice Export, Black Money issue etc., so that Party workers can understand the misdeeds of the Congress Government at the centre  and effectively campaign against UPA Government in their respective assembly constituencies.

This workshop was a curtain raiser for the mega protest against UPA Government scheduled  on October 20 at Hubli, home town of Chief Minister Shri Jagadish Shettar. Talks by prominent BJP leaders, exhibition stalls displaying scams with facts & figures and special booklets containing in-depth analysis of scams provided information to  the participants.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP spokesperson inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp and in his initial speech at the first session said that Congress led UPA Government at the centre is most corrupt  Government in the history of Bharath as there is a new scam erupting everyday. “  Everyday when I open a newspaper or watch a TV channel  a new UPA scam  is exposed” he said while referring to recent son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi Robert Vadra, Virbhadra Singh and Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid’s episode.

He said as a Supreme Court advocate he fought against  Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Fodder Scam which  is nothing in front of the 2G Spectrum or Coalgate scam of Congress.

He further said that Congress Government has done corruption in the Sky in the form of 2G Scam, on land in the form of Commonwealth Scam and under the land  in the form of Coalgate scam and asked his party men to take these issues to the public to root out Congress in the next elections.  Shri Ravishankar Prasad mentioned that the present UPA Government is actually in ICU and the Government may collapse any time and urged the party workers to be prepared for the elections.

He criticised the  Congress Government by mentioning many issues like vote bank policy of the Congress in Assam, Congress protecting the main culprit Suresh Kalmadi from not allowing CBI to file a chargesheet against him, while sending Raja and others to jail; other main accused Congress leaders are not touched, irregularities in allotting the land to Delhi airport and changing the rules for the benefit of  Airport Authority management. He pointed out that people of the country are disgusted with corruption, bad governance, scams and country earning a bad name globally due to Congress Government and hoped that people will vote BJP to power.

Speaking on the occasion Shri K S Eshwarappa, Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Karnataka Party president  said that Karnataka Congress Unit displayed double standards in the Cauvery issue by not urging the Prime Minister to do justice for the state of Karnataka. Interestingly he accused the Prime  Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh as an agent of Tamil Nadu for being biased. He came down heavily on the Prime Minister for not agreeing to meet the Karnataka Chief minister for the discussion on Cauvery waters but throwing a red carpet for the Tamil Nadu delegation for discussing the same issue.
