“THE PM statement that Indian economy needs ‘animal spirit’ is not a matter of pride but a matter of shame. It pains the countrymen that in spite of realising the failure of foreign models the Prime Minister does not wish to follow the Indian model of development which is being seen as a solid alternative by many other countries in the world,” said noted economist Dr Bajranglal Gupt. He was speaking at a workshop, ‘Revival of Animal Spirit’ organised by Deendayal Research Institute in New Delhi on July 27.
Describing the PM statement as delivered in utter frustration, Dr Gupt said the PM is unaware of Indian values and that is why is talking about ‘animals’. The PM, who has been brought up in foreign education and mentality, failed to understand that it is not the economy but his government that has lost credibility. He appealed to the common that revival of the economy is the responsibility of all and we all should decide whether purchasing the Chinese goods is good for our economy or not.
Former MP Dr Mahesh Sharma said, the following of America culture is killing our national character and life. Many eminent personalities including Dr C Prasad of Indian Council for Agriculture Research, Prof Surendra Kumar and Shri Kripa Prasad Singh of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram were also present on the occasion.
