Workshop on good governance by BJP Minority Morcha

BJP president Shri Nitin Gadkari on July 13 appealed to all members of Haj committees, Waqf boards, Madrasa boards, and Minority Financial Corporations in all the BJP and NDA ruled states to deliver good governance and thereby win the hearts of the minority communities. He was addressing a day long workshop on Minority Welfare through Good Governance; involving office bearers of minority related bodies from the BJP ruled states.

Prof Jagdish Mukhi, co-convener of the Good Governance Cell, presided over the function. In all about 100 delegates participated in this workshop, the first-of-its kind in the recent past. The delegates also included members of Christian community. Shri Gadkari dwelt at length on the conditions of minorities, especially the Muslim community and observed that during the last 65 years Congress has failed in elevating the economic as well as social conditions of the Muslims.  “Congress has looked at the Muslims as a mere vote-bank and offered them nothing more than an automobile garage, a kabadi shop or a butcher’s shop. We are committed to change this situation and make all the communities equal partners in national development”, said Shri Gadkari. He further said that minority-majority divide is an artificial division and we are all basically sons of this great motherland of ours.

Shri Gadkari also said that BJP ruled states are performing well on all counts including poverty alleviation. “However, we have to take special efforts in reaching out to all sections of the society and communicate with them about the good work being carried out by our governments”, he said. He also appealed that all the Party appointed office bearers should have total clarity on the role to be played and enhance our delivery quotient in every possible way.

BJP minority Morcha president Shri Tanvir Ahmed, Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and Shri Mahendra Pande also addressed the delegates. The workshop was followed by a day long discussion session on effective management of Waqf properties.                  (FOC)
