The celebration will begin in July this year and will conclude in June 2013. The National Executive Committee of the Mahasangh that met in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, from June 2 to 3, finalised the activities to be carried out during the whole year. According to Shri Mahendra Kapur, national organising secretary of the Mahasangh, grand inaugural ceremony will be organised in New Delhi in July with simultaneous inaugural functions in different states.

There is a target to reach at least 100 new universities of the country. There will be some programmes exclusively for the students. Five symposiums on different topics will also be organised in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.
