RSS greets Dr Shivakumar Swamiji on his 105th birth year?
RSS top functionaries of Karnataka met Dr Shivakumar Swamiji of Siddhaganga Mutt on May 10 to offer congratulations on successful completion of his 105th year. Siddhaganga Mutt and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh have deep relations since 60 years. During 1960, the then RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Guruji had visited Siddhaganga Mutt and discussed various issues of national interest. As requested by Shri Guruji, Dr Shivakumar Swamiji took part in the historic 1969 Sant Sammelan in Udupi, which was held aiming to eradicate untouchability. RSS functionaries have close association with the Siddhaganga Mutt since then.
Senior Sangh leader Shri MC Jayadev along with Shri K Narahari, Dr K Prabhakar Bhat, Shri N Tippeswamy and Shri Kajampady Subrahmanya Bhat visited the Mutt and honoured Swamiji on behalf of the RSS. Dr Shivakumar Swamiji shared his concerns on decreasing moral values in the society, stressed the need of patriotism dissolved in education. He also inquired about the ongoing RSS training camp going on at Channenahali.
