Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad now has work in Manipur also. The State committee was formed on February 19 in Imphal. Advocates from various districts of the State participated in the first meeting. Eminent advocates including women advocates shared their views on the formation of the unit as well as well current situation of Manipur. Zonal secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad Shri Joydip Roy addressed the gathering. A seven member State committee was formed with Shri Manoharmayum Bimol Sharma as president, Shri Irengbam Jugesh Singh as vice president and Shri Salam Rupachandra as general secretary. District committees will be formed in all the eight districts and the State conference will be held sometime in June.
