Sarsanghachalak in Himachal Pradesh

Sarsanghachalak in Himachal Pradesh

—Mohan Bhagwat

Claiming that FDI in retail sector would ‘facilitate’ the flow of money from India to foreign countries, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh SaSrsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat said the move would lead local retail business to collapse. “FDI in retail sector would only facilitate flow of Indian money to foreign countries and the local retail business would collapse,” he said while addressing a gathering of swayamsevaks at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh on December 14. Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, Prant Sanghachalak Shri Roop Chand and Brig. Jagdish Verma were also present on the occasion.

Shri Bhagwat also expressed concern over the rising prices, corruption and devaluation of rupee and cautioned against threat to security from China and Pakistan. “The country is facing threat from Pakistan in the west and from China in the northern border, the economic situation is very grim, rupee is sliding and a strong law to combat corruption is eluding people due to allegations and counter-allegations being levelled by the political parties,” he said. He accused the UPA government and leadership of failing to solve problems of the country.

$img_titleHitting out at the UPA for proposing the Communal Violence Bill, Shri Bhagwat said, “Under the provisions of the Bill, Hindus would be made the targets and required to prove that they are innocent.” The Bill was being proposed to garner Muslim votes, he said.

Speaking at the function Brigadier (retd) Shri Jagdish Verma said though he is not an active worker of the RSS, he has high regards for the organisation, as it is serving the people selflessly. He also praised the work done by RSS volunteers during many natural or man-made calamities. “The RSS swayamsevaks know the art of turning the impossible into possible,” he said. He described corruption as the biggest enemy for the country and stressed the need that the country must get rid of it on war footing.

Kshetra Pracharak Shri Rameshwarji, Kshetra Sewa Pramukh Shri Srinivas Moorthy, Kshetra Prachar Pramukh Shri Narendra Kumar, Prant Pracharak Shri Banvirji, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal and many other distinguished people were also present on the occasion.  Prior to the function, thousands of swayamsevaks from seven districts of the State took out three pathsanchalan in Bilaspur, which was appreciated and welcomed by the locals of the city.
