Mitanin Day celebration in Jashpur Nagar?

$img_titleVanvasi Kalyan Ashram celebrated Mitanin Day (conference of female health volunteers, active in rural areas of Chhattisgarh) in Jashpur Nagar on December 10. A total of 1,235 women health workers participated in the function, which was jointly inaugurated by the Home Minister of Chhattisgarh Shri Nanki Ram Kawar, CMO Dr BB Borde and Collector of Jashpur Nagar Shri Ankit Anand.
Shri KK Roy, Chairman of Tourism Department, MLA Shri Jageshwar Ram and joint organising secretary of Kalyan Ashram Shri Kripa Prasad Singh with SP Dr Sanjeev Shukla, CEO Panchayat Shri Shyam Dhawde, Chairman of Municipal Corporation Smt Rajni Pradhan and Vice President of Zila Panchayat Shri Anup Narayan Singh were also present on the occasion.

Shri Nanki Ram Kawar expressed happiness over the huge presence of the health workers. These Mitanins serve the society on their own initiative. A medicine kit is provided to all Mitanins by the Government of Chhattisgarh. They are also imparted training at least twice a year to update them on the health issues. In case of any medical emergency like delivery, burning or accident they inform the Government hospitals and Kalyan Ashram workers and also refer such cases to the hospitals. The efforts of these health workers were highly appreciated by all the speakers.
