Health camps by Kalyan Ashram in Jashpur Nagar, Udaipur?
Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram organised an eye camp for cataract operation in Jashpur Nagar from November 10 to 16. Dr BB Borde, Chief Medical Officer, conducted 406 operations in the camp. Out of the total 1,167 patients registered in the camp, 430 were operated. Member of the Parliament Shri Dilip Singh Judeo, Collector of Jashpur Nagar Shri Ankit Anand, Chairman of Zila Panchayat Smt Thulli Bai and joint general secretary of Kalyan Ashram Shri Kripa Prasad Singh were also present at the camp.
Similarly, a health camp for women and children was organised in Udaipur jointly by the Rajasthan Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad and the Lions Club on November 13. Noted gynaecologist of Udaipur Dr Sunita Maheshwari and Dr Archana Singhal, noted pediatrician Dr Rajesh Malik and Dr Ratan Bilwal conducted the check up of 318 patients. The disturbing outcome of the camp is that tuberculosis is growing in this region and majority of the children are found malnourished.
