BJP promises a state free of fear, hunger and corruption in UP?

After establishing direct contact with the people of the state and also drawing their attention towards the misrule as well as rampant corruption under Bahujan Samaj Party government in Uttar Pradesh the two Jan Swabhiman Yatras conducted by senior BJP leaders, Shri Rajnath Singh and Shri Kalraj Mishra, concluded in Ayodhya on November 17. Both the Yatras covered 61 districts and touched around 370 Assembly segments in two phases.
Encouraged with the touching response that the Yatras received, the BJP announced another Yatra, “UP Bachao, BJP Lao”, between December 1 to 15. The new Yatra will reach all the 403 assembly segments under the leadership of senior BJP leader Uma Bharati.
Addressing the packed Ram Katha Park in Ayodhya, BJP national president Shri Nitin Gadkari promised to replicate in Uttar Pradesh the good schemes that party’s other State Governments have launched. He said a Bihar-type Public Services Guarantee Act, Madhya Pradesh-type special financial aid to girl child, Karnataka-type subsidised farm loan and Chhattisgarh-type PDS system are a few of them. “The entire idea is to provide good governance and restore the lost glory of the State. Only the BJP can provide that. We will give a Government that will run according to the principles of Sri Ram,” said BJP former president Shri Rajnath Singh.
Shri Gadkari promised ‘Ram Raj’ that will have space for every section of the society. “Ram Temple is a surety now. We now want Ram Raj. The idea is to create a society free of fear, hunger and corruption,” he said. He termed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement that people from Uttar Pradesh go begging in other states as an insult. Rahul Gandhi had on November 14 asked the people of Uttar Pradesh, “How long will you beg in Maharashtra? And how long will you work as labourer in Punjab?” In a counter attack, Shri Gadkari alleged that Congress, which has ruled for the maximum period, was responsible for the current condition of the state. “From Pandit Nehru to Sonia Gandhi, one family and one party ruled the country for the maximum time. Rahul should reply why such conditions exist for people of Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
He said inflation and starvation were due to wrong economic policies of the government and SP, BSP were equally responsible for this. “They have friendship at the Centre while they are fighting in the state. They all are fatal for the state and should be defeated.” He alleged that not a single section of the society whether youth, farmer, Hindu or Muslim was happy in Uttar Pradesh and said they all are facing tough time. “When Mayawati came to know that she will not return to power again, she played a stunt of division of the state,” Shri Gadkari said.

JP has been in favour of creation of smaller states and Uttrakhand and Chattisgarh were carved out during its tenure, but the BJP intends to make Uttar Pradesh a progressive and prosperous state and is ready with the development plan while announcing that 50 lakh people would be given employment in five years if party comes to power. He said the party wants to provide the government where every person gets work and every section gets an opportunity for development.
BJP vice-president Shri Kalraj Mishra alleged that the situation in Uttar Pradesh has worsened during the BSP government as compared to previous Samajwadi Party regime. “Leaders of both the parties are facing enquiry in disproportionate case…. How can such people curb corruption,” he said.
Senior party leader Uma Bharati asked the party workers to realise the importance of ‘Ram Raj’ that would see every single person in the society prospering. “Even Mahatma Gandhi favoured ‘Ram Raj’. This idea is contrary to Islamic Raj where there is no space for believer of other faiths. ‘Ram Raj’ envisages cheaper food, clothes, justice. It does not matter which faith you belong to,” she said in the rally.?
